U.S. evangelist calls for assassination of Chavez

This is sooo wrong.  Pat Robertson is advocating the assassination of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.  The American people should be outraged.  I am apalled.

Read the story (at Yahoo News).

Henrico County iBook Auction Turns Into Riot

5000 people + 1000 iBooks for sale at $50 apiece + 5 cops = small riot

I am yet again disappointed in humanity's ability to get completely apeshit crazy over stuff. And over four year old iBooks? You have got to be shitting me Private Pyle.

Canada is the New America

( from Evan's blog ... )

Kung Fu Monkey wrote a great rant on what is wrong with America and why Canada is closer to our ideals.

Leaving, Again

PureDigital ( the startup I joined in May ) is NOT what I had hoped it would be.  The way the company works is toxic.  This is not a group of highly-energetic highly-talented people working hard to accomplish a common goal.  The vibe is as corporate as any Dilbert strip.  This is not the startup I was looking for.

On top of all of the other problems, the people the company needs most - the people who get things done - are leaving.  The lead engineer on my team left a month ago, leaving a huge gap.  The CFO suddenly left 3 weeks ago.  Our #2 networking/server guy is leaving at this end of this week.  This means, for a variety of reasons, it's hard to accomplish anything around here.

Last week management announced a re-org.

It's time to go.

Hell Freezes Over

(from my blog)

Apple Ships Multi-button Mouse and Russell Beattie provides Apple Mighty Mouse: Hands On Review

What is the world coming to? I think I'm gonna have to get one to go with the new iBook.

In other news, many skiers have been vanishing around the US...

SJ Race Track

The above link goes to a shutterfly album of some pictures I took on downtown SJ Thursday evening, before the Grand Prix cars showed up there.
