Boffins create zombie dogs | The Other Side | Breaking News 24/7 - NEWS.com.au (27-06-2005) concerns the suspended animation of dogs via cryotherapy and salt solutions. They claim 3 hours of clinical death followed by revival and tests showing no brain damage. They hope to test on humans within a year.
The essential hope is to be able to suspend seriously hurt people until they can be appropriately treated, as opposed to cryonically suspending people for decades until their terminal chronic condition can be cured. Still, it’s very interesting.
